To repair the damage done by Demond Williams Jr. to Husky fans, it will take a lot. The old maxim in football, though, that winning cures all, is true. Ultimately, he will need to win games and lots of them. Can't be putting up stinkers against Wisconsin or Michigan, can't lose to Oregon. There are a few things he can do, but another option just opened up.
He helps bring in and recruit some top talent from the transfer portal. It's been reported that Washington is one of the teams in the mix for former 5-star wide receiver Quincy Porter. If Porter signs with the Huskies and says that he's excited to catch passes from Williams, that will help. It won't fix it, but it will be like getting ice cream after your parents told you they are divorcing. Not the cure, but still tastes pretty sweet.
If this guy commits and says, "I came to UW to catch passes from Demond."

That won't fix it, but... it wouldn't hurt. https://t.co/SwyNRCOVqC

As a recruit, 24/7 had Porter listed as one of the top players in the country and the No. 4 wide receiver in his class. He had all the big offers and ultimately decided to play for the Buckeyes. However, after only playing in four games for Ohio State and ending the season with 59 receiving yards, he's ready to see what else is out there.
The teams have lined up again, and he has interest from all over, but according to On3.com, the teams to watch for are Notre Dame, South Carolina, UCLA, Michigan, Tennessee, Auburn, Miami, and Washington.
That would be a huge get for the Huskies and may help Jedd Fisch, Demond Williams Jr., and Washington PR to help mend some of the hurt that Williams has garnered. There's mistrust in the air, but landing some stars out of the portal thanks to Williams would go a long way.
