It’s worth noting that Cotie McMahon isn’t the only great and dangerous player on the Ohio State Buckeyes roster. While McMahon is the leading scorer for the 2024-2025 Ohio State Buckeyes women’s basketball team, Jaloni Cambridge isn’t all that far behind her teammate. Oh, and Cambridge is also a pretty solid facilitator that has enabled a number of her teammates to score as well.

The Washington Huskies will need to find a way to slow her down because the 14.8 points per game that she’s putting up (which is good for second best on Ohio State’s roster this season) and the team leading 63 assists she’s accumulated throughout the year could cause problems for the Huskies, who are hoping for the unlikely road upset against the Buckeyes.

It’s also worth noting that Cambridge is super efficient and has made 46.2 percent of her shots from the field this season. And I probably shouldn’t forget that she’s snagged 33 steals so far this year. Cambridge does a little bit of everything.

Is it possible for the Washington Huskies women’s basketball team to slow Ohio State Buckeyes star Jaloni Cambridge?

Interestingly enough, Cambridge has been a tad bit better (at least offensively) against Big Ten competition this season as she’s averaging 14.9 points per game and is shooting 46.7 percent from the field when facing a conference opponent this year.

It seems like Cambridge is able to make a play seemingly whenever she wants. Offense, defense, it doesn’t matter. She’s active and involved and is more than capable of causing a problem for an opposing team.

Are Tina Langley and the Huskies ready for that? Because of what Cambridge can do on defense, Sayvia Sellers and Elle Ladine can’t be sloppy. They’ve got to ensure all of their passing lanes are open. Othersise, Cambridge might make things difficult for UW.
