How to watch Washington Huskies vs. UCLA Bruins: TV, live stream, stats
By Ethan Lee
Home sweet home. Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies are back in Husky Stadium, but this is the last UW football game we’ll see on Montlake this season. That’s because, well, this is the final Washington Husky home game of the season.
After this, Jedd Fisch and UW gets a nice bye week before facing off against Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks in Eugene to wrap up the regular season.
So, since Washington is sitting at 5-5 on the season and this is the final home game and the Huskies are awful when playing somewhere other than at home this season and the Oregon Ducks are looking like a national title contender, this game feels just a little important for Fisch and the Huskies.
There’s a bit of significance here. Washington needs a win. And it’s not because whatever bowl they could get into with a half dozen wins is all that meaningful, it’s because a team with a young quarterback set to start next season could definitely benefit from having bowl practice reps (and possibly some playing time in a bowl game).
So, yeah, let’s get to a bowl game and get Demond Williams some more time to prepare for the future of Washington Huskies football, shall we?
