How to watch Washington Huskies vs No. 13 Indiana: Hoosiers host UW, College GameDay
By Ethan Lee
Jedd Fisch has a unique challenge ahead of him. He gets to take on an unbeaten, highly ranked team. And interestingly enough, that unbeaten, highly ranked team is the Indiana Hoosiers. That feels a little odd to say given Indiana’s history. But hey, they’re pretty good.
The Indiana Hoosiers, at 7-0, are ranked at No. 13 in the country. And the Washington Huskies definitely need a win as the regular season gets closer to concluding and UW has yet to get to six wins. We’re seven games into UW’s 2024 schedule and the Huskies haven’t exactly been consistent.
Well, kinda. They’ve been consistent in that they have yet to win a game on a playing surface other than Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium.
And so, that’s part of what makes this a unique challenge. Washington has shown potential, but they’re much worse away from home than they are when they get to play in front of a home crowd clad in purple. And when they’re crossing time zones? Well, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights and Iowa Hawkeyes definitely appreciated hosting UW for oddly timed games.
It’s going to be fun. There’s no way Washington can hurt our feelings by losing this one, right? Right?
Watch Washington Huskies face off against No. 13 Indiana Hoosiers on the road in Bloomington with College GameDay in town
Here’s everything you need to know to watch the Huskies take on the No. 13 Hoosiers (who are probably technically an upstart program, but they’re a long time Big Ten member and Washington isn’t and the Hoosiers definitely look better than the Huskies have for much of this season):
- Who: Washington Huskies (4-3 overall, 2-2 Big Ten) vs. Indiana Hoosiers (7-0 overall, 4-0 Big Ten)
- What: Eighth game of the 2024 Washington Husky football schedule
- When: Saturday, Oct. 26 at 9 a.m. PT
- Where: Memorial Stadium in Bloomington, Indiana
- TV Channel: Big Ten Network
While it’s not like Indiana is a blue blood program by any stretch of the imagination, they do look legit this year. Their offense is terrifying and their defense has consistently been among the best in the Big Ten. This is a very successful, well-rounded Hoosiers team that is thriving this season.
And Cignetti and Indiana have certainly gotten a ton of attention from folks around the country who are intrigued about how far the Hoosiers can go. So, if Washington were to spoil the Hoosiers’ special day, then that’d be a great win for Fisch and company.
