It shouldn’t shock anyone that Great Osobor would find a way to thrive for the Washington Huskies. On Saturday, Osobor managed to record his eighth double-double of the season as he scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
Washington may have lost to Iowa, but Osobor seemingly did just about everything he could possibly do to put the Huskies in position to win against the Hawkeyes in Iowa City over the weekend.
It’s certainly worth pointing out just how efficient Osobor managed to be as he recorded that double-double. It’s not like Osobor just lobbed up a bunch of shots in hopes of scoring a ton of points. Against Iowa, he managed to make five of his 10 shots from the field as well as five of his six free throw attempts.
That’s pretty solid.
Washington Huskies’ Great Osobor continues to thrive, posted eighth double-double of season on Saturday as UW fell to Iowa Hawkeyes
Throughout this season, there has been plenty to be frustrated about, to be completely honest, but Osobor has consistently been a fun player to watch for the Huskies. Time and time again, the transfer who followed Danny Sprinkle to Seattle has performed at a high level for the Huskies.
And hopefully Washington basketball fans are enjoying seeing Osobor on the court. Throughout this season, Osobor has managed to average 15 points per game as well as 8.7 rebounds per game. On the season, he’s Washington’s leading scorer. The Huskies would be in a much worse situation without having Osobor on this roster.
Back on the efficiency note for a moment, he’s managed to make 47.5 percent of his shots all throughout the season and he even manages to dish out 3.4 assists per game on the season. I, for one, have enjoyed seeing how UW’s seasoned forward has performed and I’m fascinated to see how he’ll do against the Wisconsin Badgers on Tuesday.
