Giles Jackson among Big Ten’s best receivers through week 9
By Ethan Lee
He’s not the top receiver on the Washington Huskies’ offense, but he’s emerged as a consistent receiving threat and he makes one heck of a dynamic duo with Denzel Boston. Giles Jackson is certainly one of the best receivers in the Big Ten and the stats tend to back that up through the first nine weeks of the season.
In the eight games that Jackson has played in, he’s been a key part of the West Coast aerial attack that Washington’s offense is employing. Will Rogers routinely connects with Jackson and that’s why the talented receiver has 49 receptions for 553 receiving yards.
As we’re over halfway through the season and are now entering the home stretch of the regular season, it’s important to go over how Jackson has impacted Washington’s offense. He only has a couple touchdowns, but the Huskies are, as a team, struggling to score consistently.
But those 553 receiving yards he has through nine weeks? With him having played eight games, that translates to 69.1 yards per game. Let’s look at that because that’s good for No. 9 in the Big Ten this season.
Giles Jackson ranks at No. 9 in Big Ten receiving yards as Huskies enter week 10 of 2024 season
