The Dec. 13 contest, which kicks off at 5:00 p.m. PT at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., is the earliest FBS bowl game and the only one of the day, meaning all eyes will be on the Huskies and Broncos.

What is the series history between Washington and Boise State?

These two Pacific Northwest programs may not have the longest history with each other, but have definitely played one another a fair share of times. They played for the first of six times in 2007, becoming a somewhat frequent early-season, non-conference affair for both teams.

Most recently, the Huskies thrashed the Broncos 56-19 in the 2023 season opener, beginning what would become a magical season. That win improved Washington's all-time record against Boise State to 4-2.

Both teams have also met in bowl games twice previously, including when Chris Petersen coached the Dawgs to a win in his final game during the 2019 Las Vegas Bowl. Of course, Petersen also coached Boise State from 2006 to 2013, leading the Broncos past the Huskies in the 2012 Las Vegas Bowl. As such, Saturday's matchup has been properly nicknamed the "Chris Petersen Bowl."

What is the weather expected to be for Washington vs Boise State?

The weather won't be a factor for Saturday's game, as SoFi Stadium is indoors. It will be the first time the Huskies will play in the state-of-the-art stadium that first opened in 2020.

But in case you're going to the game in person and are wondering what the conditions will be like outside before and after the game, Inglewood will have cloudy skies all day with low temperatures in the low 50s and highs in the mid 60s.

What are the odds for Washington vs Boise State?

Despite many Husky fans being unhappy that the Dawgs aren't playing a power-conference opponent, the recently-crowned Mountain West champion Broncos aren't an opponent to take lightly. FanDuel Sportsbook currently has Washington as 8.5-point favorites -- a line that suggests Washington should win, but is far from guaranteed to do so.

Boise State's moneyline is set at +260, while Washington's is at -330. The total over/under for the game is set at 51.5 points, meaning oddsmakers are projecting a final score that's something like 30-21 in favor of the Huskies.
