Jimmie Doughtery, a former offensive coordinator and QB coach for the Washington Huskies, left the program in February. The next opportunity wasn't immediately clear, but there would be options. It turns out the former Husky coordinator will be staying in Seattle after all. However, it won't be with the Washington Huskies; he is being hired by the Seattle Seahawks.
It hasn't been revealed exactly in what capacity he will be working for the Seahawks, but NFL Insider Tom Pelissero is reporting the move.
The Seahawks are hiring Jimmie Dougherty as an offensive assistant, per sources.

Jimmie Dougherty is able to stay in the city and work for the NFL's Seattle Seahawks

Dougherty and Seahawks head coach Mike McDonald have a history back when they both served on Jim Harbaugh's staff in Michigan. There's a natural connection and shared history through the Harbaughs (both Jim and John).
Dougherty and the Huskies didn't quite work out, even though he came with Jedd Fisch from Arizona. At some point, it seemed as if Fisch and Dougherty were headed in different directions, and maybe even the fact that Fisch wouldn't turn over the keys to play-calling or play-design.
The Huskies and Dougherty decided to mutually part ways (or at least that was the PR version) in February. Jedd Fisch posted on social media, "I have worked with Jimmie Dougherty for 7 years and am appreciative of his many contributions to our success as an offense and as a team. I want to thank Jimmie and wish him all the best in the future."
This will be Dougherty's first time in the NFL, and while there is no specific opening on the current staff, he may work as an offensive analyst. That sort of role is common throughout the NFL (and even in college). It's a good move for him, and it keeps him in the city.
Jedd Fisch has yet to hire an offensive coordinator to replace him, and Fisch doesn't plan to at least for 2026. He instead is hiring a senior offensive assistant, Matt Cavanaugh. Fisch doesn't turn over the offense, so he mainly needs offensive help with the game plans and designs.
