The Keith Price era of Washington Husky football was really intriguing to watch. He didn’t have a tangible impact on the product on the field in 2010, but he was electrifying to watch during the 2011 Washington Husky football season and he definitely seemed to put the Huskies in a position to win on multiple occasions.

During that 2011 season, Price managed to put up 3063 yards through the air. And that, my friends, is good enough to get the No. 7 spot when it comes to the most passing yards thrown by a quarterback in a single season. Which is actually pretty interesting given the number of talented quarterbacks that have made their way through Seattle.

Anyways, back to Price and his really strong showing during the 2011 season.

Price managed to complete 242 of the 262 pass attempts that he threw in 2011, which is good for a 66.9 percent completion percentage. And along with all of that, Price also happened to throw 33 touchdown passes.

Folks, Price was really, really good. Especially in 2011. He wasn’t the greatest ever, but that 2011 season was just the third time a Washington Husky quarterback threw for 3000 or more yards. So Price deserves a round of applause here.

I mean, he was really effective on multiple occasions. Let’s take a gander at some of the stats Price put up throughout the season:

  • 438 passing yards vs. the Baylor Bears
  • 315 passing yards vs. the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors
  • 292 passing yards vs. the California Golden Bears
  • 291 passing yards vs. the Washington State Cougars
  • 277 passing yards vs. the Arizona Wildcats
  • 274 passing yards vs. the Nebraska Cornhuskers
  • 257 passing yards vs. the Colorado Buffaloes

Price and Steve Sarkisian did great work together. He really was a great fit for the sort of offense that Sark wanted to run with the Washington Huskies and that pairing did a lot to help the program do some steady rebuilding work.
