The Purdue Boilermakers have been playing baseball for quite some time. Back in 1888 is when the Purdue baseball program got going and though they haven’t exactly had a ton of success historically, there is a lot of history there.
This is a team that has a sub-.500 win percentage, but they’ve been playing ball for over 130 years and they’re actually off to a pretty strong start in 2025. It’s been a few years since Purdue made it to the NCAA Tournament, but maybe that’ll change this season.

Again, not exactly the most successful team ever. They’ve been a member of the Big Ten conference since 1906 and unfortunately, wins haven’t come with that legacy of being in this conference. This is a team that has, throughout its history, only managed to put up an overall record of 2042-2076-36.
Which, side note, that feels like a lot of ties, to be honest. I might need to go find how many ties Big Ten baseball teams have the most ties and figure out if that’s a normal amount of ties.

Who is the current head coach of the Purdue Boilermakers?
Meet Gregg Goff, who is now in his sixth season with the Purdue Boilermakers. Goff has a pretty interesting coaching resume and has spent the bulk of his time coaching throughout the South. Stops at Alabama, Louisiana Tech, Campbell (which is in North Carolina), and Mentevallo (which is in Alabama). So far, Goff has a 114-107 record with the Boilermakers.
Where do the Purdue Boilermakers play?
Over in West LAfayette, Indiana, the Purdue Boilermakers baseball team plays at Alexander Field. I feel like I’ve been saying this a lot lately, but this is a pretty new venue as it opened up in 2013 and holds a capacity of around 1,500 folks.
When will the Washington Huskies face Purdue baseball in 2025?
We’ve got a three-game series between Washington and Purdue and we won’t have to wait too terribly long to see the Huskies and Boilermakers face off! The series takes place from April 4 through April 6 and will be at Husky Ballpark in Seattle.
