The latest ESPN 7-round NFL Mock Draft has a flurry of Washington Huskies included, which isn't much of a surprise. Nor is it to see Carver Willis drafted, as he's one of the few linemen in the draft who can provide depth all across the line for an NFL team. However, Jordan Reid of ESPN has him as the final pick of the entire draft. A pick that's been affectionately named "Mr. Irrelevant."
The first Washington Husky to come off the board in this mock draft is Denzel Boston at No. 35 to the Tennessee Titans. There's Jonah Coleman taken by the Detroit Lions at 118, Tacario Davis going to the New York Jets at 140, Ephesians Prysock not far behind at 147 to the Washington Commanders, and then the final pick of the entire draft is Carver Willis at 257 to the Denver Broncos.

That's a long time to wait for Willis but in many ways, getting drafted at all will make his NFL dream come true.
It's hard to see him falling that far, but the draft becomes pretty unpredictable towards the end, and it's really anybody's guess. Reid sees him as the final pick. But he has value higher up because he can play every single position along the line. With the amount of injuries that happen to NFL offensive linemen, his value is higher than most who can only play either guard, tackle, or center.
Willis still has a lot to prove at the NFL level, but his frame and pedigree are elite. He showed he's an NFL-ready player last year at Washington, and now he's hoping to hear his name called in the NFL Draft, even if it is the final pick. Mr. Irrelevant isn't something to turn your nose up at, for many players would kill to have their name called at all.
