The Dawgs after Dark spring game has had some big, fun, and even unforgettable moments. Sophomore defensive back Dylan Robinson may have qualified for all three in back-to-back moments. He had a breakout sequence that turned heads all around Husky Stadium.
The first came when quarterback Demond Williams threw a pass a little behind Rasid Williams, who tipped it, and Robinson made a quick adjustment to haul in the interception. It was an electric moment for the "Gold Team." While his next play wasn't exactly the next snap, it was for him. His gold team offense sputtered out, and Robinson was back on the field.
He then proceeded to recover a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown (the first of the spring game) due to a muffed "Welcome to college football moment" by true freshman Mason James.

The Gold team ended up punting, but Mason James muffed the punt and Robinson recovered the fumble in the end zone for a touchdown. Great sequence for the true sophomore CB.
Dylan Robinson has spent all spring showing he's capable of being a top corner for Washington

As a true freshman, Robinson played in almost every game except the Maryland game. He even started five of them as he started to cement himself as one of the best cornerbacks on the roster. Which is saying something considering two defensive backs from Washington were just drafted into the NFL (Tacario Davis and Ephesians Prysock).
Robinson finished the season with 16 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble. This spring, he's shown even more promise as he's now a sophomore, and the freshman edge has worn off. Robinson looks like he may end up vaulted up to the top of the defensive back depth chart. If there were concerns before, his play in the spring game is silencing any doubters.
He's another long corner for the Huskies at 6'3 and 210 pounds, but he has natural ball skills and loves making plays on the ball. Robinson has found his lane for the Huskies, and he may be due for a breakout season.
