College football schedule: What Big Ten games are on today, Black Friday 2024?
By Ethan Lee
Rivalry week is upon us! Big Ten football is some of the most storied football around the country and there are plenty of intriguing rivalries packed into the historic conference. The Big Ten got even more interesting in the offseason when the conference added the four teams out on the West Coast, including the Washington Huskies.
Getting Washington, Oregon, USC, and UCLA into the Big Ten brought additional classic rivalries into the neighborhood, but none of those four teams are playing today.
So, what Big Ten college football games are going to be on TV today?
Big Ten football schedule: What games are on today, Black Friday?
Here's the Big Ten schedule for Black Friday of the 2024 season (kickoff times Pacific):
- Minnesota at Wisconsin - 9:00 AM (Camp Randall Stadium, Madison, WI)
- Nebraska at Iowa - 4:30 PM (Kinnick Stadium, Iowa City, IA)
There’s not too much going on today, but there are a couple Big Ten games that you can certainly sit back and enjoy watching. Interestingly enough, we get a couple of classic, Midwest Big Ten rivalry games on the slate for today.
Get up a little early and get your day started by watching the Minnesota Golden Gophers (6-5 overall, 4-4 Big Ten) take on the Wisconsin Badgers (5-6 overall, 3-5 Big Ten) in Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. The morning battle for Paul Bunyan’s Axe will feature a Wisconsin team that is fighting for bowl eligibility while the Gophers are aiming to improve their bowl prospects and keep a rival from enjoying the postseason.
Later on in the evening slot of games, we’ve got a semi-revitalized Nebraska Cornhuskers (6-5 overall, 3-5 Big Ten) heading to Iowa City to meet up with the Iowa Hawkeyes (7-4 overall, 4-4 Big Ten). The Hawkeyes’ stout defense will be a fascinating test for Nebraska’s new offense, led by Dana Holgorsen, who is hard at work of streamlining and implementing a new system in Lincoln late in the season.
And these Friday games will be a pretty decent appetizer for Saturday’s matchups. Tomorrow evening, Washington and Oregon will clash in Eugene in what is the first Big Ten edition of that legendary rivalry series. But for now, let’s enjoy a bit of classic Big Ten action, shall we?
