Danny Sprinkle’s first season in the Big Ten and on Montlake hasn’t been the most enjoyable ever, especially on the road against fellow Big Ten teams. That said, there have been a few fun moments that have happened at home in Alaska Airlines Arena.

And coming up, the Washington men’s basketball team will get the chance to face off against the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Seattle in a conference game that might actually be pretty winnable (at least in theory) for UW.

Which, I don’t know about you, but I would certainly welcome a Washington win in Big Ten play. They’ve been pretty hard to come by for much of this season for Sprinkle and his Washington Huskies basketball team.

However, Nebraska is also having its fair share of problems with getting wins (especially when facing off against Big Ten teams). That is bad news for the folks in Lincoln, but potentially pretty good news for Washington on February 5.

Will Danny Sprinkle and the Washington Huskies have a shot to beat the Nebraska Cornhuskers when they meet on February 5?

Now, it’s far from being a given, and things will almost certainly change between now and when this game is ultimately played next week, but UW will actually have a (relatively) decent chance of beating Nebraska here.

At least it’s one of the best remaining chances of getting a win left for UW this season. According to the ESPN Analytics Matchup Predictor, Washington currently has a 41.5 percent chance of beating the Huskers in Seattle.

That would be a pretty nice thing to have happen for UW.

We’ll see how everything pans out, there’s a decent chance that it won’t work out that way. We’re also almost certainly going to see that chance of winning change due to the teams that Washington and Nebraska will each play coming up. But a little bit of hope never hurt anyone, right?
