There are SO MANY college softball games happening today. In the Big Ten alone, there are 30 games. Assuming I counted correctly, that is. Please remember, there are 17 Big Ten softball teams. So, a lot of folks are playing multiple games today.
Which, to be completely honest, this is not at all uncommon. College softball players are pretty used to playing multiple games in short spans of time. But, again, 30 games. That’s a lot. That’s so much NCAA softball action. And it’s just one conference.
Focusing specifically on the Washington Huskies for a moment before we get into the big picture of the college softball action in the Big Ten, UW only has one game today. They played two yesterday. One today. And it’s against Hawaii in Hawaii as part of the OUTRIGGER Invitational.
Now, on to the whole big picture. Which is pretty dang big. 30 games. It’s a lot.

Let’s take a look at all of the college softball games happening today. But, you know, specifically in the Big Ten. Please remember that all of these times are catered to folks on the West Coast. So, Pacific Time.
Early morning games
- 7 a.m. - Penn State vs. Robert Morris (Salem, VA)
- 7 a.m. - Lafayette vs. Indiana (Clemson, SC)
- 7 a.m. - Central Michigan vs. Northwestern (Louisville, KY)
- 7:30 a.m. - Ohio State vs. Stetson (Athens, GA)
- 8 a.m. - Nebraska vs. South Dakota State (Wichita, KS)
- 8 a.m. - UConn vs. Wisconsin (Conway, SC)
- 8 a.m. - Missouri State vs. Iowa (Fayetteville, AR)
- 8 a.m. - Louisiana vs. Rutgers (Auburn, AL)
Yeah, things got started early today. We’ll have scores and recaps of these games, clustered by the batches of time that they’re in, later today. There’s just so much softball happening today.
Late morning softball
- 9:30 a.m. - Penn State vs. Radford (Salem, VA)
- 10 a.m. - Michigan vs. Queens (NC) (Raleigh, NC)
- 10 a.m. - Ohio State vs. UMBC (Athens, GA)
- 10:30 a.m. - Oklahoma State vs. Nebraska (Wichita, KS)
- 10:30 a.m. - Missouri State vs. Illinois (Fayetteville, AR)
- 11:30 a.m. - Purdue vs. Central Arkansas (Carbondale, IL)
Penn State is getting both of its games out of the way early today. The Nittany Lions will be done before you know it. And if you haven’t already noticed, there aren’t any of the West Coast Big Ten teams that have games in these early time slots.
Early afternoon softball games
- 12 p.m. - Longwood vs. Northwestern (Louisville, KY)
- 1 p.m. - Wisconsin vs. Coastal Carolina (Conway, SC)
- 1 p.m. - Rutgers vs. Auburn (Auburn, AL)
- 1 p.m. - Iowa vs. Arkansas (Fayetteville, AR)
- 1:30 p.m. - Maryland vs. Belmont (Nashville, TN)
- 2:30 p.m. - UCLA vs. Utah (Fullerton, CA)
- 2:30 p.m. - Minnesota vs. North Dakota State (Minneapolis, MN)
Well, we finally get some West Coast softball played as UCLA will take on Utah out in Fullerton. But otherwise, this slot of games is wrapping up the action for some of the teams from the Midwest and East Coast.

Nighttime games
- 6 p.m. - Portland State vs. Oregon (Eugene, OR)
- 8 p.m. - Washington vs. Hawaii (Honolulu, HI)
