Danny Sprinkle and the Washington Huskies needed a big win to close out the 2024 calendar year (and finish the non-conference slate) and that’s exactly what they got as they pummeled the NJIT Highlanders.
With ease, Washington handled the Highlanders, getting a huge 90-53 home win and a little bit of redemption after losing to the Seattle University Redhawks in frustrating fashion.
Year one of this rebuilding process isn’t exactly going perfectly. Growing pains are to be expected. And so it shouldn’t shock anyone that the Huskies would stumble here and there. But with the dominant win over NJIT, it’s clear that this team is trying to establish a foundation for success.
