We’re going to have to wait one more day for the next Washington Husky men’s basketball game. Maybe that’s a good things given how this particular UW basketball season is going. Danny Sprinkle and the Husky have plenty of work to do to elevate this program and this season is very much a rebuild sort of season.
But, around the Big Ten, there is still basketball to be played. And there might even be some interesting games for you, depending on how much of a Big Ten college basketball fan you happen to be. If you like seeing college basketball that has nothing to do with your favorite team, then we’ve got a couple of games that you might like to check out.
So, let’s look over the two Big Ten men’s basketball games that are happening today.
Big Ten men’s basketball schedule, Feb. 28: Purdue Boilermakers welcome UCLA Bruins to West Lafayette while Northwestern faces Iowa
For folks out on the West Coast, you’ve got a perfect basketball schedule happening today. Right as you get away from work, you’ll have a chance to catch the UCLA Bruins and the Purdue Boilermakers face off in West Lafayette, Indiana. The game will be broadcast on FOX.
Elsewhere in the Big Ten, but staying in the Midwest, we’ve got a chance to see the Iowa Hawkeyes head to Evanston, Illinois to meet up with the Northwestern Wildcats.
Here’s what you need to know:
- UCLA Bruins at Purdue Boilermakers - 5 p.m. - FOX - West Lafayette, IN
- Iowa Hawkeyes at Northwestern Wildcats - 6 p.m. - FS1 - Evanston, IL
I mean, if you can get away from the office a little early, sneak over to your favorite local sports bar, and catch the games, then you’re set.
Neither of these games have any real impact on the Huskies or their standing in the Big Ten right now. Washington is at the bottom of the conference at the moment. But, hey, if you want college basketball to watch, here you go.
