Look, the real Big Ten college baseball standings aren’t out just yet as we haven’t seen a single Big Ten game actually be played just yet. But it’s absolutely fascinating to see the Purdue Boilermakers take the top of the conference with an unblemished 8-0 record to brag about.

Just behind the Boilermakers sit the Michigan State Spartans, UCLA Bruins, and USC Trojans with identical 6-1 records so far this season. That’s such an interesting group to sit at the top of the Big Ten right now.

Let's take a deeper look at the entire Big Ten NCAA baseball standings, shall we?

Big Ten baseball standings and records, Feb. 25, 2025: Washington Huskies near the bottom after four losses to Stanford Cardinal

Again, we don’t have any Big Ten games that have been played just yet, but we do have a bunch of non-conference games that have taken place. And so far, with all of those non-conference college baseball games, the Huskies are near the bottom of the conference with their overall record. Which, you know, stinks.

Here’s what the Big Ten standings and records look like following Washington’s four losses to the Stanford Cardinal:

  • Purdue Boilermakers: 8-0
  • Michigan State Spartans: 6-1
  • UCLA Bruins: 6-1
  • USC Trojans: 6-1
  • Penn State Nittany Lions: 5-1
  • Oregon Ducks: 6-2
  • Northwestern Wildcats: 5-2
  • Illinois Fighting Illini: 4-2
  • Michigan Wolverines: 4-3
  • Iowa Hawkeyes: 3-3
  • Maryland Terrapins: 3-3
  • Indiana Hoosiers: 3-4
  • Nebraska Cornhuskers: 3-4
  • Rutgers Scarlet Knights: 3-4
  • Minnesota Golden Gophers: 2-4
  • Washington Huskies: 2-6
  • Ohio State Buckeyes: 1-5

The Penn State Nittany Lions are in a fascinating spot right now and the Oregon Ducks sure look like they might be capable of making a run for the conference crown this season. Again, it’s early, and things can certainly change (hopefully they do for Smith and his Huskies), but the teams at the top of the Big Ten right now sure are interesting.

There’s a lot of work to be done for UW and hopefully the Huskies will get things turned around sooner rather than later. Facing off against Stanford for the past four games may be one of the toughest stretches the Huskies actually have on their schedule. So, here’s to hoping for a better record sooner rather than later.
