The Big Ten baseball schedule continues on Sunday and thankfully this weekend Washington won’t have the earliest game on the Big Ten’s Sunday schedule. In fact, Eddie Smith and the Huskies will get the final game of the day of any team in the Big Ten as they meet up with a familiar face from Washington’s Pac-12 days.
But well before UW’s game three against the Stanford Cardinals gets underway, the Northwestern Wildcats will take on the Fordham Rams in Cary, North Carolina. Also in Cary will be the Indiana Hoosiers, who will face the Harvard Crimson.
But the most interesting morning slate game for the Big Ten? Well, that will be when the Michigan State Spartans face off against the UCLA Bruins down in Corpus Christi, Texas. We get an early season sneak peak at how these two teams match up.
That’s kinda fun. And there are some interesting storylines to unpack there. A classic Big Ten team will meet up with a West Coast newcomer to the conference. Oh, and it’ll be really fun to see if Michigan State’s unbeaten streak can continue against a UCLA team that is off to a strong start.

After the way last weekend went for the Huskies with all of the early morning games, I, for one, am glad to see UW playing a game at a sensible time. And I, for one, am hoping that the Huskies can find a way to win the next two against Stanford. That’d be great.
