After a busy Friday that included the Washington Husky baseball team beating up on the Kansas State Wildcats and the Michigan Wolverines taking down the No. 2 Virginia Cavaliers, the Big Ten baseball opening weekend will continue with a full slate of games on Saturday.
And of course, because the Big Ten has a much larger geographical footprint now (and with the way college baseball season starts these days with teams from colder climates competing in neutral site matchups), there are NCAA baseball games with Big Ten teams happening all over the place.
Washington will, of course, get things started early again as the Huskies, under now unbeaten UW head coach Eddie Smith, compete in Conway, South Carolina at 8 a.m. when Washington meets up with Saint Joseph’s.
Elsewhere on the east coast in the Carolinas, Michigan State will take on Monmouth in Cary, North Carolina while the Maryland Terrapins meet up with Ball State over in Charleston.

There are a few interesting matchups here. The Ohio State Buckeyes will get a shot at redemption against the Arizona State Sun Devils. The Purdue Boilermakers and Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks are set to meet up a couple more times.
Back on the redemption note for a moment, Illinois will be looking to avenge its loss to Abilene Christian, Northwestern will be looking to bounce back against Long Beach State, and Nebraska will be looking to show that it can compete when it takes on the Vanderbilt Commodores. It's going to be a busy day in the Big Ten.
