3 thoughts on Washington Huskies’ weird road loss to the Indiana Hoosiers

The offensive line is still super concerning as the Huskies allowed six tackles for loss against Indiana
For a team that had to haphazardly piece together an offensive line via the transfer portal this past offseason, I suppose things could be worse. But on Saturday, the Huskies’ offensive line really had trouble keeping up with Indiana’s pass rush.
Will Rogers became pretty familiar with Indiana’s front seven as the Hoosiers sacked the Huskies’ starting quarterback on three different occasions. In addition to that, Rogers was definitely feeling pressure on a routine basis and had to scramble on a couple occasions. Demond Williams is a good bit quicker than Rogers tends to be, so it made some sense when the Huskies swapped quarterbacks around on certain plays.
But, that didn’t solve all of the issues here. The Hoosiers really had a lot of fun disrupting what Washington wanted to do on offense. Jonah Coleman did well to gain 104 yards on 19 carries and the aforementioned Williams scored a touchdown on the ground, so there was some success to be had moving the ball, but Indiana had a total of six tackles for loss and that helped the Hoosiers push UW back by 27 yards.
That’s not good!
