Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies can’t take any game for granted heading into the 2025 college football season. The Huskies learned that a bit the hard way as life in the Big Ten can be pretty tough. There are a ton of physical teams that will take advantage of your mistakes. And Washington made quite a few mistakes in a few Big Ten games last season.
But, all that said, there are a few games that are certainly more manageable than others on this upcoming Washington Husky football schedule.
As Fisch and the Huskies get set for their second season in the Big Ten, there are a few chances to really get some notable wins and build momentum, which will be necessary with the likes of the Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes both being on the 2025 Washington Husky football schedule.
So, let’s go over the three easiest games on Washington’s slate this season.
What are the 3 easiest games on the 2025 Washington Huskies football schedule?
We’re going to rank the three easiest games from what will be the “most difficult” down to the most winnable.
No. 3: Jay Norvell and the Colorado State Rams in the season opener
I suspect the season opener is going to be the toughest of the three games on this list, but it shouldn’t be all that arduous, to be completely honest. Washington will have the homefield advantage thanks to this game being at Husky Stadium and UW was able to win every single home game last season. Plus, Washington’s offense should be even better this year. I’m not sensing an upset from the Mountain West foe in this one.
No. 2: Will the Purdue Boilermakers be a pushover?
This is a Big Ten game, sure, but the Purdue Boilermakers are a pretty manageable opponent, even if they are in the Big Ten. This is a program that is completely rebuilding and searching for a pulse. And thankfully, UW has someone familiar with Purdue now at the defensive coordinator position. It’s a hard place to win and a hard place to sustain success. Don’t expect the Boilermakers to be great in year one of a new coaching era.
No. 1: The UC Davis Aggies take the top spot here
There’s going to be a sizable talent differential that exists between the Washington Huskies and the UC Davis Aggies. That’s going to be a huge (theoretical) advantage in Washington’s favor here. Expect the Huskies to take advantage of that advantage and pad the stat sheet a bit here.
