Alaska Airlines decided to renew its partnership with the Huskies for Hec Ed, but not for Husky Stadium. Thus, starting this fall, the Husky football team will play on a newly named field, as the school will now seek a new corporate partnership. And the price tag won't be cheap. According to the Seattle Times, the renewed Hec Ed name is for 10 years and $28 million; Husky Stadium will be a higher price tag.

Husky Stadium will have a new name and here's a few ideas of companies that could swoop in

Let's be clear, this list below is for fun. There's no inside knowledge of companies that are actively looking to purchase the naming rights. We aren't speculating on any sources; this is simply a list of companies that could or maybe would consider it.

Let's stay local with all three names.

1. Costco - Kirkland Signature Field

The most fun name would be if Costco (a local company) decided to get involved. Can you imagine a "Kirkland Signature Field"? There would be something hilarious and yet amazing about that. Since it's a company that still has its roots in the area with many alumni in the company, it's plausible but probably not likely.

2. T-Mobile - T-Mobile Field at Husky Stadium

T-Mobile has already jumped into the naming rights game locally. Seattle Mariners play at T-Mobile Park, so it wouldn't be a big jump to think that they could capitalize and maybe even double down on another field. What would they name it so it's not confusing? Maybe the above, or "T-Mobile 5G Field", or something silly.

3. Puyallup Tribe - Emerald Queen Field at Husky Stadium

This suggestion actually came from Brad Halverson. He brings up a good point. Lately, the Puyallup Tribe has been jumping into more partnerships with sporting entities. Add in the fact that Native American Tribes have sports betting in Washington, don't be shocked. This would feel weird for a college, but it's part of how things work now.
