One of the more intriguing games from the 2024 Washington Huskies football schedule was when the Huskies hosted the UCLA Bruins and managed to beat them by a score of 31-19. And it’s not that the score was interesting or anything along those lines.

It’s that when UW was struggling on offense against UCLA, the Huskies turned to a true freshman quarterback in Demond Williams Jr. and managed to find a fresh breath of air and scored seemingly with ease with Williams leading things.

Now, this coming season, Williams is almost certainly going to be the starting quarterback for the Huskies as they try to make their mark in the Big Ten. And, in Washington’s second to last game of the 2025 Washington Husky football schedule, Jedd Fisch and his young quarterback will lead the Huskies to Pasadena to meet up with the UCLA Bruins.

When will the Washington Huskies and UCLA Bruins face each other in the 2025 college football season?

After hosting the Purdue Boilermakers (and hopefully getting a nice win for new UW defensive coordinator and former Purdue head coach Ryan Walters), the Huskies will face off against the UCLA Bruins on November 22, 2025.

This game comes right before the Huskies return home to host the Oregon Ducks. So, here’s to hoping that Fisch and the UW football team are going to take this one seriously and avoid overlooking their opponent when they meet up with the Bruins (and also that Washington is able to build some momentum before that rivalry game at the end of the regular season).

While Washington is aiming to be improved this coming season and to be more competitive in the Big Ten, there’s no doubt that the Bruins are aiming for the same sort of improvement. And we saw UCLA turn things around in the middle of the season this past year. It wasn’t a complete turnaround, but the Bruins actually looked competitive down the stretch in some intriguing games.

The Washington Huskies almost certainly can’t afford to overlook UCLA in this game if that sort of improvement continues for the Bruins.
