Jedd Fisch and his team of Washington Huskies will have multiple opportunities for a little bit of revenge during the 2025 Washington Husky football season. Between the Washington State Cougars, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, and Oregon Ducks, there are plenty of chances for a bit of redemption and a fun win should the Huskies come out on top of any of those matchups.

Now, you might be saying to yourself “one of those things is not like the others,” and you’d be correct. Rutgers and Washington being in the same conference and playing each other on something that somewhat resembles a regular basis is weird.

But, well, that’s just part of this new era of college football that we’re in. The Big Ten no longer has 10 teams in it. So, you know, whatever.

Anyway, back on track, this coming season, Fisch will have an opportunity to get a win against a Rutgers Scarlet Knights team that bested him and his Huskies in a close, frustrating 21-18 matchup during the 2024 season.

When will Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies host the Rutgers Scarlet Knights during the 2025 college football season?

This time, thankfully, the Huskies will be facing the Scarlet Knights in Seattle as Washington is forced to make the cross country trip instead of Fisch and Washington.

On October 11, 2025, one week after Washington makes a cross country trip to face off against the Maryland Terrapins, the Scarlet Knights will head to Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium to play UW in front of Washington fans.

And I, for one, am all on board with that.

Given how successful UW was last season when playing at home, I personally believe the Huskies should play every game on Montlake. Never leave the friendly confines of Husky Stadium, in my opinion.

Also of note, I, for one, am fully on board with the concept of getting a win over Rutgers. I don’t know how feasible that will be, it’s hard to tell just how high Washington’s ceiling is and what the Scarlet Knights will look like. But still, let’s try to make that happen, shall we?
