Go ahead and get one of the most intriguing games of the 2025 Washington Huskies football schedule on your calendars, folks. In October, the Washington Huskies are set to meet up with the Michigan Wolverines for the third consecutive season.
This time, Jedd Fisch and Washington will head to the Big House to face the Wolverines. The Huskies are making a trek to Ann Arbor for what will be their fifth-ever trip all the way over to Michigan Stadium. And this one will be interesting given the way Washington and Michigan have faced each other in recent seasons.
It’s likely not to develop into a full on rivalry any time soon, that would require some more tense moments and big wins here and there, but I, for one, am all on board with these two teams playing more regularly. Especially with the way UW fans feel about the way the 2023 season ended and how cathartic that win over the Wolverines in 2024 felt.
Let’s make this matchup a more regular occasion, shall we? Anyone opposed?

Washington will face off against Michigan on October 18, 2025. This will be the first time that UW has made the trip to Ann Arbor since the 2021 meeting between the two programs.
Interesting enough, this game will be right in the midst of Washington’s season. It comes after the early season tests from the Ohio State Buckeyes, Maryland Terrapins, and Washington State Cougars. Meanwhile, it also comes before UW’s matchup with the likes of the Illinois Fighting Illini and the Oregon Ducks.
It’s part of a pretty tough October stretch.
And so, this game is pretty important. Not just for the whole emotions sort of stuff that might be attached to this game, but also because Washington’s schedule has some really challenging matchups and this one could really impact things from a momentum and success standpoint.
