The 2025 Washington Huskies baseball season isn’t too far away and UW fans will soon get to see the start of a brand new era of Washington Husky baseball. Like several other teams on Montlake, Washington’s baseball team is breaking in a brand new coach in Eddie Smith and the Huskies will play their first season in the Big Ten this year.

A lot has changed from last season’s 19-win and 31-loss team (that also had a tie) under Jason Kelly. Smith and the Huskies are looking to build on Montlake and it’ll be fascinating to see what Washington’s new head coach can deliver in his first season.

The Huskies are set to play a grand total of 55 games this season (at least that’s the case with the regular season, there’s still a chance of a NCAA regional or the Big Ten tournament adding some games on to that) and 23 of those contests will be at home in Husky Ballpark.

Everything you need to know about the 2025 Washington Husky baseball schedule

Washington will get the 2025 campaign started up when Smith and the Huskies hit the road all the way over to the East Coast to compete against the Kansas State Wildcats, Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, and Saint Joseph’s Hawks in Conway, South Carolina.

After that, Washington will head to Palo Alto to compete against the Stanford Cardinal in a four-game series against an old Pac-12 foe who is now in the ACC. The Huskies will follow that four-game tilt up with a trip to San Francisco for a midweek game on Wednesday, February 26.

Washington will compete in the Las Vegas Classic from February 28 through March 2, facing the likes of the Texas Longhorns, Illinois Fighting Illini, and Texas Tech Red Raiders.

And then the Huskies get to play their first game at home against Portland on March 4.

Washington Huskies will start Big Ten play vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers in Lincoln

Big Ten play will begin on March 7 when the Huskies hit the road to meet up with the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Lincoln, Nebraska. A Midweek matchup with Portland (in Portland) will be followed up with Washington’s first home series as they host Gonzaga on March 14 through 16. The Huskies will follow that up with two midweek home games against Pacific Lutheran on March 18 and March 19.

Washington’s first home series against a Big Ten foe will take place on March 21 through March 23 as the Maryland Terrapins come to town. The Huskies will meet up with the Oregon State Beavers in Hillsboro, Oregon on March 25 and then head to Piscataway, New Jersey to face the Rutgers Scarlet Knights March 28 through March 30. While on the East Coast, the Huskies will head up to Queens, New York to face St. John’s on April Fool’s Day.

Washington will return home on April 4 for a home series against the Purdue Boilermaker and will then host Seattle U on April 8 for a quick midweek game.

A road trip to Los Angeles will take place on April 11 through April 13 as Washington faces the UCLA Bruins and then the Huskies will return home to Husky Ballpark to face Seattle U in a midweek contest. Illinois will come to town April 18 through April 20 and Washington will follow that up with a midweek road game to Seattle U.

The Northwestern Wildcats will host the Washington Huskies April 25 through April 27 and Washington will stay in the area to face off against UIC in Chicago on April 28 to close out the month of April.

Smith and UW will meet up with Iowa in Husky Ballpark from May 2 through May 4 before hitting the road to meet the Oregon Ducks in Eugene May 9 through May 11. Washington’s final series of the regular season will be against the USC Trojans at home from May 15 through May 17.
