Washington football is coming off of their first win on the season in a blowout victory against Arkansas State.

The Huskies may have finally found some structure and rhythm within their offense, but whether it will be enough to sustain their success against tougher defenses remains the question.

Washington has scored 69 points in total this season, with the outlier 52 points coming from Week 3 alone, and the defense has given up only 47 points.

This week, the UW will take on their first conference opponent of the season in the California Golden Bears. Cal, like Washington, will enter this match-up with a record of 1-2.

Once again, I expect the outcome of this game to depend on how Washington’s defense plays.

Washington Huskies vs California Golden Bears Odds Week 4

The Week 4 betting odds on WynnBET currently have the Washington Huskies favored over the California Golden Bears by 7.5 points. The over/under set for the game is 45.5.

Washington Huskies vs California Golden Bears Prediction Week 4

Cal’s defense has allowed 28.67 points and 448.3 yards per game while the Huskies defense has allowed 15.67 points and 298.0 yards per game.

The Huskies have now discovered that they are capable of putting points on the board when they are consistent on offense. Shocking, isn’t it?

They can take advantage of Cal giving up big yardage by conceiving a plan similar to what they accomplished last week against the Red Wolves. Run to set up the pass, and don’t be afraid to target your receivers 30-plus yards down the field.

I don’t expect Washington to score as much as they did in Week 3 but I do predict a win of 28-21.
