Starters: BUCK- Ryan Bowman (sr.). SAM- Laiatu Latu (soph.)

Backups: BUCK- Zion Tupuloa-Fetui (rs. soph.). SAM- Sav’ell Smalls (frosh)

Breakout player: Latu- It’s no secret that the coaching staff loves Latu. As a true freshman, he played in 12 games, and while he only recorded half a sack, he showed off an advanced understanding of pass rush moves. Now, 13 pounds lighter than when he came in, he’s ready to put his natural power and insane agility on display against Pac-12 tackles. While the loss of Joe Tryon really hurts, it puts Latu in a position to shine.

Riser: Smalls- The five-star freshman is ready. With a few extra months to get physically ready for the rigors of college football, and a free year of eligibility, there’s no excuse for the coaching staff to not unleash Smalls on the Pac-12. Don’t be surprised if there are packages drawn up for him to line up across from Latu
