Washington football has been on a tear over the last three years on the recruiting trail, and they can take it to another level in 2021

In each of the last three recruiting cycles, Washington football has put together its best class ever, and with all the talent in their backyard, that shouldn’t change in 2021. The Huskies have already secured a commitment from 2021’s number one rated quarterback, the pride of Kennedy Catholic, Sam Huard.

Huard headlines an absolutely loaded in-state class that includes the country’s number one overall player in defensive tackle J.T. Tuimoloau, and the number one athlete in Emeka Egbuka. The Huskies have done an excellent job retaining the in-state talent, and with four top 100 players (Julien Simon being the fourth), the expectation of all of them staying home should be very high, especially after the commitment of Sav’ell Smalls.

The state of Washington isn’t just top-heavy in 2021, it runs deep. Seven players have at least a four-star rating, and 16 rated inside 247 Sports’ top 1000 overall. That’s just the in-state guys, and there are a few different states that we can look at where the Huskies have had a lot of recent success.

NOTE: Before I get into the rest of this, I know that some of what you’re about to read is going to sound unrealistic, but I always want the best for the Husky football program, and I understand this is the best possible scenario, but it’s quite an exciting one. And wanting the best means holding the program to the highest standards
