Where does Washington football sit in our Pac-12 power rankings?

7.   Washington (1-1)

The Huskies looked great and quarterback Jacob Eason looked amazing in their week one matchup against Eastern Washington. Then, Cal came into Husky Stadium and beat them 20-19 after a lightning delay. The Huskies have a lot of young talent all over the field on defense, and with youth comes growing pains. And hopefully for Husky fans, that’s all this game was. It looks a lot like the 2015 defense, where they began the season a little shaky, but still finished the season with the top defense in the conference. Up next is the high-flying offense of the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors, so that defense has got to grow up fast.

8.   Colorado (2-0)

The Buffaloes have surprised me through their first 2 games and looks like they really improved from last season. Beating a ranked Nebraska team is great for new head coach Mel Tucker during his debut season, and will certainly help his players buy into his philosophy. We’ll have to see whether this momentum carries the Buffs through the rest of the season, or whether an emotional game like that will cause a letdown.
