We’re less than 24 hours from kickoff for Washington football’s 2019 season, and with a team that’s primed to make a CFP run, the fans need to do their part to help the team!

Washington football plays in arguably (to some, Husky fans know there’s no competition) the best stadium in all of college football. The view, the activities before and after the game, the play on the field, Husky fans are really lucky. Now, we need to show the coaching staff that Husky fans are the best fans in the country.

The Huskies have seven games at home, and it starts on August 31st against Eastern Washington. The fans need to show up and do their part to support the team, and make Husky Stadium the toughest place to play in not just the Pac-12, but the entire country.

What can the fans do?

Well… it seems obvious, but I’ll restate it, because after going to my first game at Husky Stadium last year, along with a game at LSU, I noticed some very big differences in atmosphere. The biggest one? GET LOUD. There are seven games this year, if you’re going to spend your money to show up and have a good time, don’t you want to see the Dawgs win? They haven’t lost a game at home in almost three years and have been to three straight New Year’s Six bowl games. You can’t really ask much more from a team that was 0-12 ten years ago.

All you need to do is stand up, be loud, and have fun!! It’s a sporting event, something that’s valued higher than pretty much anything else in the country. No matter how you feel about a certain trend going around on Twitter (institute the turnover salmon), you should yell and scream and have a good time. The turnover salmon is about finding something unique to the Northwest, and having a little fun with it. Let’s have some fun this year in the stands, so wave your salmons if you want, but if not, scream loud and let the other team know who’s house it is.
