Washington football lands the top offensive lineman on the west coast
Washington football has landed another BIG TIME commitment, this time from the number one offensive lineman on the West Coast!!!
Happy Fourth of July Washington football fans!! Do you want to see some fireworks? Well how about securing the commitment of the best offensive lineman on the West Coast, Mater Dei (Calif.) lineman Myles Murao! Washington had to beat out the best to land Murao, and offensive line coach Scott Huff was able to land him over the likes of some of the best in the country, including Georgia and LSU.
Murao is a dominant force along the offensive line, and although he’s rehabbing from a serious leg injury that has kept him out of Mater Dei workouts for most of the spring and summer, he still projects to be an instant impact freshman that could possibly start right away along the offensive line.
Fit at UW
The Huskies are going to be losing some major pieces along the offensive line, most notably All-American left tackle Trey Adams, and All-Pac 12 (and hopefully future All-American) center Nick Harris. Murao is a legit center prospect, and can easily be one of the best in the nation at the position.
Huff is going to need the depth, especially at the center position, where the only players there are junior college transfer Corey Luciano and sophomore Cole Norgaard. Murao is good enough to come in and take that spot from them. Don’t believe me? Well, watch him dominate Clemson commit and number one player in the country for 2020, defensive tackle Bryan Breese at The Opening in Texas yesterday, where he was named to the “Final Five” offensive linemen.

Murao’s commitment moves the Huskies up to the 29th overall class on the 247 Sports class ranker, and there’s a lot more in the works… congratulations to Myles on his commitment, he’s going to do amazing things in purple and gold!!
Note: Murao, who is currently ranked 69th in the country, was ranked as high as 38th before his injury and with another solid season, has a chance to rise that high (and potentially into five-star status) before he officially signs.
