Richard Newton

There are going to be a lot of carries up for grabs in spring ball after the departure of Myles Gaskin. Richard Newton should be a prime candidate to try and take some of those carries. Newton had to sit out most of the year while nursing a shoulder injury, and if he’s healthy, he’ll be ready to compete.

He’ll have some stiff competition between Salvon Ahmed, Sean McGrew, Kamari Pleasant, and incoming freshman Cameron Davis, but with the amount of carries up for grabs, Newton is bound to earn some.
