Julius Irvin

If you had to put your money on picking only one starter out of the redshirt freshmen, I’d put mine on Julius Irvin. Jojo McIntosh has graduated, and the staple of the hard-hitting UW secondary will surely be missed. But Irvin might be the perfect player to ease the pain of McIntosh leaving. He’s a fast, strong, well-groomed safety. Expect a huge year from Irvin in his first as a starter.

Kyler Gordon is another player in the secondary who could see a huge increase in playing time, but he’s going to have to work for it with the talent in front of him in Elijah Molden and Keith Taylor.
