No. 3: Nick Rakocevic

The Trojans seem to win or lose at the hand of Rakocevic. USC has won all four conference games in which he’s scored more than 20 points, with an additional win coming against Arizona State. On the flip side, they’ve lost both games when Rakocevic was held under 15.

While Bennie Boatwright has been hot since the start of conference play, Nick Rakocevic may very well still be the best player on this Trojans roster. Rakocevic has already earned two Pac-12 Player of the Week nods, both of them coming in the last month. His 62.8 field goal percentage is the third highest in the conference and he’s outscoring the only two players above him combined – Rakocevic has 19.0 points per game, while Washington’s Noah Dickerson averages 9.0 and Stanford’s Josh Sharma averages 8.2.

Rakocevic finds himself towards the top of the list of big men in the conference off of the ball as well. In addition to his offensive numbers and efficiency from the floor, Rakocevic is also the second rebounder in the conference with 9.9 boards per game.
