Washington Football dominated the Apple Cup (again) largely due to this week’s Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week

After an incredible performance at the Apple Cup, Washington football’s Myles Gaskin has been honored by being named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week. Gaskin took 27 carries for 170 yards and three touchdowns in the Huskies’ 28-15 dominant victory over the Washington State Cougars in the snow. He capped off his day with an 80-yard scamper through the snow that finally buried the Cougs and left his teammates doing snow angels.

History Made

That run also put Gaskin over an incredible milestone, as it made him the first running back in Pac-12 history to rush for 1,000 yards in four straight seasons. He also becomes the 10th running back in NCAA history to reach that milestone, joining the likes of Tony Dorsett, who was the first to set that mark. It’s going to be a tough feat, but if Gaskin can find a way to put up 224 yards over the Pac-12 championship and the bowl game, he’ll make history that’ll be almost impossible to repeat. Gaskin would have rushed for 1,300 yards in all four seasons at Washington and will be the school’s rushing leader by over 1,200 yards.

Congratulations to Myles on an incredible career and we can’t wait to see what he has in store in the Pac-12 championship.
