Hey Washington Football fans, during the bye week let’s take a look back at some of the best moments from this season of UW football!

The Catch

Oh, Quinten Pounds! He made the catch of the year in Week One, and although he only made eight catches on the year, Husky fans will sing his name because of that catch for years to come. The Huskies might have lost the game, but Pounds’ catch will live forever.

The Year of Ty Jones

“Did he come down with it? Of course he did!!” I’ve yelled that at my TV way too many times this season, but Ty Jones is quickly becoming a fan favorite for making catches like the one below. Jones has pulled in 26 catches for 437 yards and six touchdowns, but it seems like with every catch he makes, he’s making some defender look stupid. See below if you need any further reference.

Ben Burr-Kirven has been the best linebacker in the country this season. He leads the country in tackles and has been the best player on the best defense in the Pac-12. His draft stock is shooting up the boards, and according to Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller on his Stick to Football podcast, he could be taken as high as the third round if he can prove he can run and play the same way he does now at around 230 pounds.

This…

Byron Murphy… WOW. Murphy will likely be a first-round pick if he decides to leave Washington, and hits like this only reinforce that. In a secondary overflowing with talent and stars, Murphy shines the brightest.

Look Ma, One Hand!

Aaron Fuller has been outstanding this season, and the most outstanding part of it all might be that it feels like he’s only needed one hand to do most of it. See Example A.

Example B.

The Texan has turned himself into Jake Browning‘s favorite target, and has had an outstanding season, and led a position group that was arguably the Huskies’ biggest question mark coming into the season.
