(4) Do  the Washington Huskies have a dangerous pass defense?

In a word? You betcha.

Okay, let’s discuss more at length. Defensive back coach turn defense coordinator Jimmy Lake is one of the brightest emerging coaching stars rising in the ranks right now. Why? He coaches players to get the best out of them.

He turned three defensive backs into NFL stars in one year, when Sidney Jones IV, Budda Baker, and Kevin King all heard their names in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

This season, Lake has a new corps of defensive backs who are already in the national spotlight. The corners and safeties for the Washington Huskies are not looking to stop the passing game of opposing offenses. Any ball in their air is open game. They want to pull that ball in and run in it for a touchdown of their own.

That is not to say they won’t defend the pass.  It’s simple the difference of being passive, or actively defending. Washington Huskies defensive back are very active back there.
