While the football and basketball teams have been thriving, the Washington Softball team might have both of them topped. The Huskies are currently ranked No.1 in the country in two different national polls, and dominating all competition. What’s more: they are showing no signs of slowing down.

Last year, Washington Softball’s season ended in the national semifinal, where the team lost to No.2 ranked Florida. The Huskies finished the season 50-14 and further solidified themselves as one of the Top 5 softball programs in America.

So far this season, the UW has wasted no time in reaffirming this belief, getting through its non-conference schedule completely unscathed at 28-0. This includes a big win against No.6 Texas A&M on February 24th, and two wins against No.11 Alabama in the Husky Classic. Through the team’s first 12 games, the UW outscored opponents 133-5, one of many statistical signifiers of its dominance this season.

The team’s record currently sits at 32-2 six games into Pac-12 play. As the Huskies continue their fantastic season, let’s take a look back at the year they’ve had so far.
