2017 Washington Basketball season in review

A short Crisp recap

But when words fail me, I turn to the source. And so, with no further adieu, here are the words of Washington Basketball guard David Crisp:

And that says it all rather nicely. But it’s rather succinct. So let’s elaborate on some key points for this team.

Size matters

To begin with, the team entereed the season skewed towards wings and backcourt players. Only Noah Dickerson, Devenir Duruseau and Sam Timmins measured at or above 6-foot-8. Early in the season, Duruseau announced he decided to leave the team.

That created a challenge for the team.  Coach Hopkins even had to persuade forward Noah Dickerson to remain with the team. Dickerson stayed, but the team was awfully short of big men to play in the post. And that challenge created a new list of “gotta-do’s” for the new head coach.
