Wore out welcome
But ah, that temperament. It’s always there, like a snake in the grass, ready to strike at the worst possible moment. And it did for the Chiefs as well. Peters talked back to referees in games. He argued with coaches. And that pattern has followed him throughout his career.
According to @MikeGarafolo, there was more to the Marcus Peters' suspension. He was reportedly involved in a verbal altercation with a member of the Chiefs coaching staff... pic.twitter.com/QiaWVmxBTr

Been there done that at UW. Now doing it at Kansas City. A trend not to be too proud of.
NFL Suspensions are warnings
But in the NFL, suspensions happen as a warning shot. Eventually, just as with the Washington Huskies, the Kansas City Chiefs find themselves with the same tough decision. Only the outcome is not dismissal, but a trade.
Chiefs are expected to trade CB Marcus Peters to the Los Angeles Rams, sources tell ESPN. Teams are in final stages of talks and barring an unexpected snag, the trade is expected to be agreed to as early as today.

Trades happen in the NFL for two reasons. One reason is that a team wants a player enough to overpay the other team. The other reason is that a player has worn out his welcome with his team, and that creates a “or best offer” situation. This is “best offer” trade scenario.
