WASHINGTON’S 2018 FOOTBALL SCHEDULE

Before training camp, spring practice, or even the NFL combine, it’s a good occasion to grab the crystal ball and look ahead into the upcoming season.  Now, this is by no means a forecast of final scores.  I will pull those together late spring, which will still be a ridiculously early forecast. This is simply a schedule analysis, a look at opponents strengths and weaknesses. A first-pass attempt to right size 2018 expectations.

The 2018 season is the start of something special. Simultaneously, it’s the sunset of something very special too. Quarterback Jake Browning will play his senior and final season for the Washington Football team. He will be joined by running back Myles Gaskin, wide receiver Chico McClatcher, and a host of significant contributors.

Sunrise…sunset

So it’s a melancholy season, a year with the sun rising on the horizon of the team’s bright future. But it’s also a season where the sun will set for us for some of the team’s favorite players.  It all comes down to how does this team match up with teams on the 2018 football schedule. So that is where we step in. Time to take a look at that schedule for the first time.

But anyone can look at the schedule. So we try to take it up a couple of notches.
