Has Bryan Penn-Johnson noticed Washington Basketball’s success?
By Bret Stuter
March 21st
The 2018 class would be upgraded with the addition of 4-star 7-foot-0 center Bryan Penn-Johnson. And for all intents and purposes, Penn-Johnson is a significant player for the scheme implemented by Coach Hopkins. Significant in that both the player and the team would benefit dramatically. But for now, we wait. At least until March 21st.
Then we learn of his decision. Until then, we must rely upon the team’s togetherness and success to intrigue the young man. We must allow the sound of our cheers to the Huskies to carry to his ears. And we must display that fraternity of mutual respect and admiration which is the definition of #TougherTogether which will catch his eye.
Best begets best
It’s simple Washington fans. Bryan Penn Johnson is important to us. Not just because he is a skilled player. And no, not because his presence on the basketball court gives the Huskies that much more chance of outscoring their opponent on any given night. Not even the fact that Bryan Penn-Johnson will certainly give NBA scouts reason to catch some games to scout out his upside and NBA potential.
Next: Where’s the love for the Washington Basketball team?
But simply because he is a young man who is searching for a path to greatness. Greatness on the basketball court, but even more significantly, greatness within. The key to happiness, to success, to positive outcomes, is simply to surround yourself with happy, successful, positively charged persons. To belong. To become a key contributor to a team. The University of Washington is bursting with those people. And they all want the best for Bryan Penn-Johnson. And to them, the University of Washington IS the best.
