Does Washington Football recruiting class of 2018 have an encore?

One more defensive lineman

DE Jermeiah Martin is an uncommitted defensive end who is being sought by a number of significant college football programs. And he has saved his last visit for the University of Washington.  Saving the best for last…?  Hmmmm

Martin is this one incredibly talented defensive end who has been recruited by some of the best football programs in the nation. And for good reason. He is worthy of playing on any NCAA team’s roster. While he has attracted offers from 20+ schools, he has narrowed down the field to just four remaining: Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Oregon, and Washington.

Now, he has a very difficult decision to make.

Washington Football great stage for NFL hopefuls

Or does he?

He is a 6-foot-5 240 pound pass rushing specialist. And right now, the Huskies have room for both Martin and Letuligasenoa.  While we’ve talked about how Tuli can help fill the void of soon-to-be-NFL-player Vita Vea, Martin would be a huge aid in kickstarting the Huskies pass rush.

He has an incredible first step, great length and deceptive strength and speed. And with his arrival, the opposing quarterbacks will be tortured all day as he will run for his life, and find little to no help downfield. We love where the 2018 recruiting class is right now. But we are downright giddy where it may be on National Signing Day on February 7th.

I am blown away with the success of head coach Chris Petersen recruiting this season.  The talent is not only high-ceiling, but each young man has a natural fit to the team chemistry overall.
