The Washington Football team has won only one of the past eleven games against Arizona State. Here are five keys to ensure that improves to two of the past twelve

If you think that the Arizona State Sun Devils are a cupcake, stop reading here. They are not. They have enough dangerous and talented players who, if they sync up with great performances simultaneously, can compete with just about any team in the nation. But the Washington Football team is not just any team. The Huskies are the defending Pac-12 Conference Champions. And today, they will look every bit the part if they focus on these five keys.

As a matter of fact, this is not a game of unfamiliar teams. This is a game of two teams quite familiar with one another. Until last season, Arizona State knew they would win. Washington knew they would lose. And so it went for ten consecutive games.

Fighting heat, fatigue, ASU, and perception

On one hand, this game is a bigger test for the Washington Football team than many realize.  This is the seventh contest in a row for the team. It’s also a road game of some distance. But more than anything, it’s played tonight in Tempe Arizona. At Game Time, the temperature In Tempe will still be in the mid 80’s.  The team left the 50’s behind in Seattle, Washington. That will be a tough battle to remain cool in that heat.

On the other hand, Washington is playing it’s seventh straight week. Arizona State is coming off a bye. The team is rested. The coaching staff has had two weeks to plan, dissect, and strategize a way to win this week.  Playing at home compounds that effect.  Thankfully, Washington got a home win against Arizona State.

That changes everything
