Will former Washington Football cornerback Sidney Jones play this year?

High versus low
The key to healing any body injury is getting a good blood flow to the site. And in the case of an Achilles Tendon injury, there is the good zone, and the bad zone. The bad zone is low. That is where the tendon is simply the fibrous rope like tissue found directly immediately above the heel bone. A tear here is the worst of the Achilles injuries. There, blood flow is low and stress levels are very high.
Sidney Jones injury was high, very high. That is the good zone for this injury. The blood flow is abundant, the tissue mass is at a peak, and the stress is much less. This information is critical to the healing process. The odds for timely return to the football field are much better, and a fully healed player is much more likely.
Time line
The time frame everyone talks about is the four to six months time frame. Four months is August. Six months is October. For the NFL season, that difference is huge. But that is exactly what the Philadelphia Eagles are dealing with. If Jones follows the track of Michael Crabtree, he could take the field in October.
That would be incredible for these Eagles.
