Washington Football recruit bulked up defensive end Jarryn Bush
By Bret Stuter
Washington Football attracts former Central Washington University defensive end Jarryn Bush as 2017 walk-on.
There is something special about the Washington Football team this year. This is a team which seems to be on a destiny of its own. The class of 2017 arrived as good as they come. Each recruit fits a role for the team. But the team continues to get better. This time from one of the most unexpected places:
I was taken completely by surprise. The last news I had on Jarryn Bush was that he had signed his Letter of Intent to play football for Central Washington University in February 2016. Since that seemed to be the end of it, Jarryn fell off my radar.
Until the announcement on July 27, 2017.
Quick Interview
So I asked Jarryn Bush the questions which I couldn’t line up with logical answers. Thankfully, he was kind enough to help clarify for me.
HH: Last I knew you were heading to play for Central Washington University. I’m working on an article about you right now. Any chance you can help me fill in some details?
JB: I did go to central for football camp but I decided my heart wasn’t there so I left before school started. And took this year off to train and prepare myself to play PAC 12 football
HH: Are you eligible to play this year?
JB: Indeed I am!
HH: Are you a walk on at the moment?
JB: Walk on for now.
HH: I have you at 6-foot-2 and 235. you still there or are you bulked up like the hulk now?
JB: 6-foot-2 245! I gained 25 pounds this year I took off to train
HH:Any chance you redshirt this year or will you be competing for playing time right away?
JB: I have no idea right now actually but I feel like I am more than ready and prepared to take on whatever.
Jarryn Bush is a very good player. With the year off to train, he has bulked up to a 245 wrecking ball. He was a solid player before, now, he is simply bigger, badder, better.
Bush can play the defensive end position in either a two point or three point stance. His size and strength will be huge aids in rotations and special team assignments. I wish him well. He is the type of player I root for for more reasons than “he plays for my team”.

His is the desire which makes this game fun for fans. That ability to cheer for a player who is down to earth and following his dram is what makes NCAA football the best in the nation. #GoDawgs!
