Washington Football recruiting summer is starting to heat up

Great players make great team, but get great offers from NFL
The challenge is aligning the incoming players with the anticipated losses of graduation or the 2018 NFL Draft. The team boast 18 seniors, plus the likelihood of several juniors electing to participate in the NFL Draft.

Starting contributors like quarterback Jake Browning, offensive tackle Trey Adams, defensive lineman Vita Vea, wide receiver Chico McClatcher, and running back Myles Gaskin could all have the type of seasons which would attract NFL attention. Right now, the team is built to have the type of depth to allow for a “next man up” to take over. But the roster will need to be restocked. And so far, the recruiting class sits at nine. It’s a small number of high quality prospects, but that number needs to increase.
Can’t argue with results
The immediate future could do just that. If I am a defensive back seeking to land a career in the NFL, I would star the University of Washington and set their number on speed dial. In fact, Washington Football players are preferred in the NFL if the 2017 NFL Draft is any indication. Three defensive backs in round two, a wider receiver in round one, and five players heard their names called.
From that, prospects can anticipate how their own careers might project into the NFL. Players develop in NCAA football through meaningful coaching. Prospects are entering the Washington program, improving, and emerging NFL ready. Position coaches like Jimmy Lake are found nowhere else in the college forum. To benefit from one of the best defensive back coaches in the NCAA, players must come to Washington University.
