Washington Football recruiting has nine commitments. Ideally the team would like to have five or more commitments this summer. Look for things to heat up

The Washington Football team is a well constructed group of compatible players. Athletes who are offered a role to play for the Washington Huskies have more than speed, strength and agility. The coaching staff for Washington football seek passion, dedication, commitment. It’s a tough road to haul, and that road is fraught with distractions.

But finding just the right fit means the entire recruiting process is a slower, more deliberate pace than many programs.  Unlike the recruiting which relies heavily upon the national ranking system to identify the top recruits, Washington recruiting contacts players who are developing.

You don’t have to be a star to be on our team

That means discovering the talented players before the national rankings. That also means counseling and waiting as national teams drive up to offer their sales pitch – not from a standpoint of fit – but from the “you’re a trophy recruit and we want you!”

And sometimes the Washington Football team does not emerge with a new recruit.

But so far, the team has synchronized team and individual needs with nine football players.  And as of July 2, 2017, the team has offers out to at least 23 players who have exhibited real interest in become a Husky football player.
